Purchasing Manager

Working for a first-class supplier of interior, exterior, seating, sealing & AVS, auto electronics, located in the vibrant, stunning historic city of Budejovice, in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic.

Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to take the major responsibility for identification and execution of synergy cost reductions across our Client, as well as the establishment, implementation, and constant improvement of commodity and supplier strategy of packaging materials.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of strategic development and overseas factory construction plan, search for overseas local supplier resources, establish supplier resource database and make supplier management strategy, improve the supply chain level.
Set up supplier resources database, especially for trim cover, plastic parts, plastic parts with fabric, headrest rod commodity.
Know European local regulation and rules, assist in revise the current purchasing contract, quality agreements and other documents.
Support to make cost analysis of the quotation and complete the final supplier nomination process.
Improve the overseas procurement management process, formulate overseas procurement management system documents, avoid laws and regulations, and ensure procurement compliance.
Analysis of the procurement cost factors of overseas projects, conduct the procurement process and price control of parts, materials and mold inspection fixtures according to project requirements.
Coordinate and cooperate with all business units and relevant parties to solve abnormal problems in supplier development and supply.
Communication with project team members, suppliers, R&D, etc.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Be familiar with the local European market and suppliers.
Understand the seating assembling, trends of the European market, as well as the characteristics and advantages of each supplier.
Be proficient in using purchasing management software, electronic purchasing platforms and other tools.
Analyse purchasing data, develop purchasing strategies and plans.
Familiar with the core knowledge of purchasing management, such as purchasing process, contract management, cost control, etc.
Understand each link of the supply chain, be able to coordinate suppliers and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of the supply chain.
Understand the local European laws and regulations related to purchasing to ensure the legality of purchasing activities.
Able to develop reasonable purchasing plans and strategies according to the needs of the company.
Master various cost control methods to reduce purchasing costs.
Able to identify risks in the purchasing process and take corresponding measures to avoid them.
Bachelor’s degree and above.
Strong knowhow and experience in power seating components (Plastic/ Wire Frame/ Headrest rod/SBR/ Trim/ Foam etc.)
Knowledge of processes in the automotive industry (BMW BENZ etc.)
(Mgr.: ＞ 5Y ; Engineer : 3-5Y) profound work experience in automotive industry including 3 years team management experience.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin can be a significant plus.
